Just got an email from my good pal Bob Brown out in Minn. and Amy's Anniversary Bike is...

Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and getting shipped out to us today!

Well it's been over a year in the making but I think that it has been absolutely worth the wait.  Between stop and starts on my end, Bob's end, Sickness, Work, Home Remodeling, more Work, Vacations, more Sickness, shipping parts, ordering more parts, my waffling about everything from lugs to paint to parts, back tracking on my decisions x infinity and more... he got it done, and then some!

What started out as an anniversary gift for my wife in March of 2005 to be presented to her in May of 2005 has turned into an epic & mammoth undertaking... and now it has become The Gift of a Lifetime [which of course includes BOTH anniversary gifts for 2005 & 2006!].

I am so psyched!!

I bet Amy is going to FREAK when she sees this Beauty.

Great ANT Stops By...

Well she arrived today...

Went together very nicely and quick... I'll be heading out for some rides today and get some snaps in as well.

Chloe LOVES the ANT logo and look so she insisted on a photo shoot before bed...

If I didn't say it here at LFoaB, I certainly said it to my wife, or at least to myself.  Yep, I would NEVER need to or want to buy another bike.  Nope, NEVER!!

Fuck, I went and did it again.

Was checking out some sites recently, just minding my own business and seeing what's new... who's doing what these days.  And then, BAM I see that Mike Flanigan over at A.N.T.  is selling off one of his very smart, very practical City Commuter Bikes.  One that he built for himself just 6 months ago no less.

It's a very smart looking bike with lots of neat appointments.

So I bought it.

After culling my herd from 6 to just one over the past few years, and that "one" being my Bob Brown Cycles custom tourer, and knowing and swearing it would be all that I ever needed... alas, I'm back up to two cycles.  Yikes.

Well I guess it gives me some options and allows me to pick & choose what I want to ride on any given day.  Also allows me to keep my BBC in less day to day muckery.

Anywho, here's the offending, beautiful little fucker that made me eat my own words...
