With all the FBQ'ing lately I've hardly had a chance to do any straight up posting. Being that the FBQ takes weekends off, I'll squeeze a little posting in while I can...
First off... Thanks to everyone-frame builders & readers alike-for the success of the FBQ. I've received hundreds of positive emails regarding it and even a few claiming that they were going to contact "so & so" builder later that day to place an order... I hope that's true because that was part of my motivation in starting the series in the first place, to help get these names out there and into our day to day consciousness.
I've also received a few other odd, curious and downright strange things since starting this series-
1. Two death threats.
2. Multiple offers to help me formulate better questionnaire questions because -as they deeply implied-mine suck.
3. A proposal for marriage from a Japanese woman.
4. An offer to appear in Iceland to give a "speech" on frame building.
5. Two very long strings of hate mail from some folks at Road Bike Review.
6. A couple people who are concerned that I am "damaging" the reputations of custom frame builders worldwide.
7. Three offers to write "freelance" pieces for national magazines.
8. A request to be interviewed myself.
9. Three death threats against my family.
10. Numerous offers to write for "online/internet"-based e'Zine's.
11. An offer to write "full-time" for a very well-known publication with offices in NYC, SF, London, Madrid and Tokyo.
12. "Backing money" from a bisexual couple in Buffalo, NY to take Large Fella On A Bike into print format.
13. A request to meet with a publisher.
14. Four different offers for "representation" from agents to "shop me" to book publishers.
Gotta love the 'Net... 99.9% insane bullshit and the other .01% usually goes by the wayside.
In other news, Bob Brown sent me an email saying that a client bagged on a build so Amy's Anniversary cycle is getting bumped up. Very cool! I told her and she's psyched.
In closing... a photo from Chloe's recital for Ballet class in New York City-
Peace & Caffeine until next time...
So it sounds as if you are soon to be a famous dead writer with a Japanese widow.

Yeah, I wasn't gonna go there.
Hey, did you get my e-mail about the TA bag?

Yep, thanks. I'm watching it.
Sorry I didn't reply to you sooner... I've been busy fielding death threat inquiries.

I don't get it. Did I miss something? Death threats?!

Awwwww, your daughter is a *cutie*!!!
Wassup with the death threats?
I am totally digging reading about builders I've never heard of. Good stuff.
How come my blog never gets any death threats?

If you don't write about (insert name here) I will hunt you down like a dog. It is great that it could lead to a new career, though.

Thanks for the kind words on Chloe...
Yeah, it seems my choices in which builders to feature and/or comments I made over at RBR have placed me squarely on a few folks' poop list. Beyond that, I guess it's the increased visibility of the blog based on "hits" through search engines... who knows, but I've been receiving some downright nasty/scary stuff regarding me and my family.
I guess they read my posts and pull the personal info from there and then email the threats.
Sad...

Great to hear from you, Scott! You should have the FBQ be its own blog! Forget those playa haters. Except you simply must share those RBR tirades with us! Please?
Ooo - I hope/assume that means my Bob Brown will be moved up a tad, as well. I'd like a little use of it before the snow falls!
Peace!

Nat-
Good idea... I might do just that with the FBQ.
The RBR stuff will make it into it's own entry someday soon.
Yep, if one gets moved up... they all get moved up. I would assume you'll be seeing your BBC sooner than later.
